Baby orphaned elephants need supportive foster ‘parents’, just like human babies do. Since 1977, The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Nairobi, Kenya rescues abandoned baby elephants, nutures them and eventually reintroduces them to their natural habitat.
The Voyage Vixens weren’t able to leave Sheldrick without fostering one of the elephants – KITHAKA – as a gift for a dear friend at home.
